Visited Mom today, took some quiche and a turkey sandwich and chicken and tuna salad over also.
Noticed the walker out and apparently she was using it a little bit today. I'm all for that but she really needs to have supervision when she does use it. The wheelchair is much much safer..
Or one of these..... Arrrrggggghhhhh.
Otherwise she was eating pretty well and Scott and Quinn were going to pay a visit tonight (you may know them as Gepetto and WonderWoman)

For you dog lovers out there...
I just have the tiniest suspicion that the folks who made this, and can be heard laughing in the background, are like Willie Nelson/Cheech Marin STONED as Hell. Just a feeling.

You be the judge.

So we had a nice adventure tonight, I took the Fambulance out again and took Mom and Marge for a sightseeing/Christmas lights observation all over the Diamond heights/Noe Valley/Corona Heights/St Francis Wood/Twin Peaks areas and they had a nice tine, lots of ooohs,
ahhhhs,
and HUH? What? HUH?
Six degrees of conversational separation! Yikes, when you mix in hard of hearing, low speaking, bickerson sisters and front seat back seat .....OMG
Anybody but family and I'd just pull over and kick their asses out.
What? HUH? where's he going? What did you say? No not where are we going, where is HE going? What? Of course I know where we are! Where are we?
St Francis Wood had the best overall displays but either they are cutting down this year or half of em turned their lights off as Santa scurried back up the chimney!
Saw this one of Grandma getting run over by a reindeer
but the humor was wasted on Mom and Marge. Not familiar with that story. I know! SHRUG/WTF
WHO isn't familiar/Hasn't heard that song???????????????????

Merry Christmas Post Celebration Friday.
Once again we visited "The Compound" AKA "The MegaMansion" AKA Quinn and Scotts abode.
Drove the Fambulance up with Mom and Marge in tow, they behaved pretty well other than two thousand "HUH?'s"
We hit A LOT of traffic (Stop and slow from Lake Street to just before the toll plaza)
and so had some free time to call Paul and then Bridget for some familial verbal bonding. Was real nice because the SpeakerPhone eliminates 85-90% of the HUH?'s cause it's LOUD YAY! Big YAY.
Both Mom and Marge got to talk to Paul and exchange Christmas wishes and greetings, then we called Bridget and had a great conversation (she hadn't talked to Mom or Marge in many many years.) We promised to get together one day soon when she comes up to the city.
So we drove across the GG Bridge and it was seriously gorgeous day to look at the scenery.
We arrived at "The Compound" around early 4 ish and had a nice relaxing chittychitty chat for a couple of hours then started off with YUMMO Crab Salads
before diving in to the OUTSTANDING dinner of Roast beef, Potatoes au Gratin, CREAMED ONYON'S, veges, rolls, creamed spinach, etc.
All in All a great family dinner celebration.
Many Thanks to Quinn and Gepetto AKA PajamaBoy AKA Scott, who just had shoulder surgery and was running on heavy meds. Fortunately no heavy machinery around.

And then there's the post office. Really?? Really??
That's during the middle of the day! The folks who were waiting patiently in line are like HAS ANYONE SEEN ANYBODY??
Few minutes later we hear a lady say....... "I'll be out". Not right out, not sorry for the delay, nothing. Then she says "we've got a lot of mail!"
Mind you this is way before Christmas, couple weeks easy.
We all looked at each other and are like.... Really? The post office got a lot of mail? Who would have thunk it! And you can see they really ramped up for the mail coming in TO THE POST OFFICE.
Can't make this stuff up!
The Diamond Heights Post Office put this sign up a few minutes before they closed the doors FOR GOOD yesterday.
This sign went up at about 11:50 on Christmas Eve with no advance warning. Probably one of the busiest times of the season with folkes rushing to either pick up mail or get those last minute packages out.
Coincidentally, the PMB Jensen's next door did a land rush business beginning at Noon. The Post Office was the ONLY business in the entire center that was closed. Heck, even the bank was open!
I just don't understand why the post office is always in the red! I mean it's clear that Customer Service is their number, ummmmmm, 300th priority. Maybe.

I spent a long weekend up in Nevada City a few days back for some mountain therapy. Nevada City is such a cool little town. Gold rush with tons of victorians.
We all celebrated the Solstice by 'burning our woes' and performing the acient ritual of drawing Runes and reading the associated passages with each one.
Went hunting Christmas trees and bagged a 18 footer and a companion 3 footers for my friends mom in law.
It was tough coming back. We went to a small street fair and attended our normal Cowboy Action Match. The Nevada City Peacemakers fighting the dreaded Pumpkin Gang as well as some misbehaving stuffed Christmas bears.
They didn't put up much of a fight, the pumpkins especially. Tired from the Holiday Season.

So it's the day before Christmas (Christmas Eve)
We got Mom (the royal WE) over to Vivians for a wash and set hair job.
Only took 4 hours.. Torpor comes to mind.
She's doing pretty well after falling out of the wheelchair last week.
I swear she could fall UP A TREE!
We are taking the FAMBULANCE up to Tiburon to "The Compound" for Christmas diner with family.
